11/7/08 How Government SHOULD be.

I find myself actually excited for a press conference today. I haven't been able to stomach hearing the president of the united states speak for the last eight years. Clinton, who I liked, I could cope with, but never was excited for. I felt like I was listening to code when he spoke. That he was smart and basically had our best interests at heart, but that he was just rolling in compromise and ducking criticism.

I think Obama has the opportunity to be a truthful, good leader and I'm so excited to be a part of this period of history. I am proud for the first time in my life of our leader. I may have to actually get television finally.

Nah. Let's not get crazy.

See Obama's Transition Website.

11/5/08 Feeling uplifted!!

"As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, we are not enemies but friends. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection.

And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your president, too.

And to all those watching tonight from beyond our shores, from parliaments and palaces, to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of the world, our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of American leadership is at hand."
